Lagos Business School is pleased to welcome participants of the fourth cohort of the Global Chief Executive Officer Africa (GCEO-A) Programme, a 3-module executive development programme jointly delivered by Lagos Business School, Nigeria; Strathmore Business School, Kenya and Yale School of Management, USA.
Held for fifteen days over three months, the intensive programme equips leaders to navigate the intricacies of doing business in a global, interconnected world. It prepares C-suite executives for the challenges of leading in an international business environment. The programme focuses on global strategy, leadership, and innovation, providing insights into the complexities of managing and leading across diverse markets and cultures.
Learning on the GCEO Africa programme is facilitated by seasoned business leaders and academics with decades of leadership experience across industries, as well as in the public and private sectors. It is also driven by peer learning and the case study method. The programme delves into real-world challenges, providing participants with a robust, practical learning experience. Classes on the programme are also designed to have a mix of participants with a variety of professional profiles cutting across multiple industries and nationalities to maximise peer learning.
The participating business schools each deliver a module of the GCEO Africa Programme. The first module is delivered by Strathmore Business School, Kenya. It focuses on concepts of global and African economies as well as understanding the Eastern and Southern African business contexts. Module two, delivered by Lagos Business School, focuses on critical topics such as emerging market dynamics, governance and leadership. The final module, delivered by Yale School of Management, covers several key areas, such as innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership in adversarial times.
During the weeklong second module in Lagos, participants will delve into the intricacies of doing business in an emerging market, focusing on the West, North and Central African context. It also includes sessions led by executives and leaders of successful global and indigenous organisations, reviewing the strategies and decisions that led to their successes and the roadblocks encountered.
