Lagos Business School Sustainability Centre (LBSSC) is delighted to announce that Mrs Ndidi Nwuneli will be serving as the Senior Fellow for the Nonprofit Leadership and Management (NPLM) Youth Academy Programme. Mrs Nwuneli is a social entrepreneur and impact investor with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit and private sectors. She is the founder of LEAP Africa, a social enterprise that trains and mentors young leaders to drive social change in Africa.
On the nonprofit programmes, participants gain a deeper understanding of 21st Century nonprofit leadership drawing on feminist leadership perspectives and strategies. They explore the fundamentals of social innovation, inclusive impact approaches and responsible management. Through these programmes, young professionals in the nonprofit sector learn to advance innovative ideas into high-impact realities, and effectively apply management skills to sustain and grow their nonprofit organisations. In her role as Senior Fellow, Ndidi will strengthen the connection between theory and practice of nonprofit leadership and management by offering participants insights from her years of experience driving practical solutions in the development sector. She will serve as a resource person and a thought leader, providing mentorship and guidance to the NPLM programme participants.
The NPLM Programme is a nine-week, intensive leadership development programme for young people who are working in development sector careers making a positive difference through their nonprofit organisations. The programme provides participants with the skills and knowledge they need to lead and manage nonprofits and NGOs. It is designed to develop a pipeline of young, ethical and competent managers and leaders for Nigeria’s nonprofit sector. The programme has served over 400 youths since commencement in 2018 thanks to the support of Ford Foundation and Lagos Business School.
